Elda Rotor

Elda Rotor is the Associate Publisher and Editorial Director of Penguin Classics. She oversees the U.S. editorial program and the works of authors including John Steinbeck, Arthur Miller, Dorothy Parker, Shirley Jackson and Keith Haring. She is the editor of The Penguin Anthology of Twentieth Century American Poetry edited by Rita Dove,  the New York Times bestseller The Inaugural Address by Barack Obama and most recently, The Art of Language Invention by David J. Peterson. She has published Penguin Classics editions of Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo by José Rizal, translated by Harold Augenbraum, and Doveglion: Collected Poems by José Garcia Villa, with an introduction by Luis H. Francia. She edited, produced and recorded the Penguin Classics app Poems by Heart, chosen by Apple as one of the Best Apps of 2013.
